Purpose


The Swiss-Korean Cultural Association has as non-profit association following purpose:

  • Supporting the exchange of Swiss and Korean artists and musicians.
  • Supporting Swiss and Korean artists and musicians.
  • Enabling and supporting concerts in Korea with Swiss musicians and conductors as well as concerts in Switzerland with Korean musicians and conductors.
  • Supporting young musicians and emerging talents from Switzerland by facilitating concert and orchestra experiences in Korea and other Asian countries.
  • Supporting shared, group and/or collaborative performances by emerging musicians and conductors together with famous musicians and conductors.
  • Supporting young musicians and emerging talents from Korea by facilitating concert and orchestra experiences in Switzerland and Europe.

  • For these purposes the Swiss-Korean Cultural Association conducts concerts, festivals, events and exhibitions in Switzerland and Europe as well as in Korea and Asia.

  • Organizing and staging the Gonjiam Music Festival in South Korea.
  • The Swiss-Korean Cultural Association wants to improve knowledge about both countries and to improve the exchange of that knowledge.

  • The Swiss-Korean Cultural Association can offer training, educational programs and consulting services in this context. Furthermore, the Swiss-Korean Cultural Association works with universities, colleges and research institutions as well as with business and social institutions on the national and international levels.
  • The Swiss-Korean Cultural Association strives to build an active and diverse network of agencies, musicians and orchestras and is available for cooperation with interested institutions nationally and internationally.
  • The Swiss-Korean Cultural Association wants to encourage new tendencies, attitudes and outlooks for artists and musicians in both cultures, and can conduct and support research projects as well as work to deepen the new knowledge.
